How we write these

How we write our articles

Every article on Nubia is here to help you make one good choice for your skin. Here’s who writes them, where the facts come from and how we keep them up to date.

Written by Nubia

Our articles are written by the Nubia team, so the byline says Nubia. We write about product types, like a ceramide moisturizer or a mineral sunscreen, and never about brands, because that’s how Nubia builds your routine too.

Where the facts come from

Every article leans on at least two sources, picked from professional bodies, like dermatology associations and national health services, and from published reviews of the research. You’ll find them at the end of each article, with the date we checked them.

What’s new posts are the one exception. They’re about Nubia itself, so they don’t need outside sources.

How AI helps

We use AI tools to help draft our articles and their translations. A person on the Nubia team then edits each one, checks its claims against the sources and decides what goes live.

We say it once, here, instead of on every page, and we never list an AI as a reviewer.

Who reviews them

Before an article goes live, a Nubia editor checks it for accuracy and safety, and every translation gets its own review by a fluent speaker.

When a licensed clinician, like a board-certified dermatologist, reviews an article, we name them with their credential. If no clinician signed it, we don’t say one did.

How we keep them current

Every article that gives skin advice has a next-review date, shown at the end of the article. We get a reminder 30 days before it. If a review runs out, the article comes off the app and this website until someone checks it again.

Seasonal and news pieces run until a set date. After that, they show a note with the date they ran until, and a link to what’s on now.

General skincare education

Our articles can’t diagnose a skin condition or replace care from a qualified professional. If something on your skin worries you, or keeps coming back, it’s worth checking with a dermatologist.
