Nubia Cookie and Website Storage Notice

Effective date: 2026-09-13
Notice version: 1.0

This notice explains cookies, browser storage and related measurement on heynubia.com, operated by Emine Kuzhan. Contact privacy@heynubia.com about your privacy choices.

1. Necessary storage and optional analytics

Cookies are small values stored in a browser and sent with relevant requests. Local storage keeps values in your browser until cleared or treated as expired. Session storage is associated with a tab session. The expiry of a stored preference can stop us relying on it even if the browser has not physically deleted the value.

Necessary functions deliver the website, protect its operation and remember your privacy choice. They remain available if you refuse analytics. We do not require optional analytics to read articles or use website search.

With your permission, we load Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to understand broad website use and app-link clicks. Our own consent controls manage this choice. The configured website does not load those Google measurement services before analytics consent. We do not use this configuration for advertising, personalized advertising, Google Signals or session replay.

2. Storage inventory

2. Storage inventory — table 1Scroll horizontally for all columns.
NameProvider / typePurposeDuration
nubia.consent.v2Nubia; first-party local storageRemembers analytics acceptance/refusal, choice date, policy version and expiry. Necessary to honor your choice. We rely on the choice for 90 days after saving it. Ordinary website activity does not extend this period. Browser storage may retain an expired value until removed or replaced.
nubia_analytics_deniedNubia; first-party cookieRemembers refusal and helps enforce it when loading the website. Necessary.Up to 90 days; removed/replaced when your choice changes as appropriate.
nubia.analytics-consent.v1Nubia; legacy local-storage preferenceRecognizes an older refusal. An old acceptance does not count as consent to the current notice. Necessary compatibility storage where present.May remain from an older visit until browser data is cleared or the stored value is removed. The current versioned preference takes priority.
_gaGoogle Analytics; first-party cookie on the websiteDistinguishes browser activity for optional analytics.Configured for up to 90 days; see the latest-use qualification below.
_ga_6ZMZ5W87QT and any corresponding _ga_* property cookieGoogle Analytics; first-party cookie on the websiteMaintains measurement/session information for optional analytics.Up to 90 days after the latest consented use; Google's session-related cookie may refresh during activity.
nubia.campaign.v1Nubia; first-party session storageStores an approved broad campaign identifier for optional attribution. At most 30 minutes from initial storage, or the end of the tab session, whichever comes first. Navigation does not renew the 30-minute period.

The 90-day privacy-choice expiry is separate from a Google cookie's refresh behavior. We do not continue relying on expired consent merely because a Google cookie remains in the browser. Before consent, a recognized campaign may be held only in page memory; it is not saved in optional browser storage or sent to analytics.

Browser caching of public pages, images, fonts and scripts may also occur to deliver the requested content. Our current website font files are hosted with the website; the font setup does not require a Google Fonts request. The table lists the cookies and storage set by the Nubia website configuration. Necessary hosting or security processing is limited to delivering requests and protecting the service; it is not permission for additional analytics or advertising storage. Browser or extension storage outside Nubia’s control is managed through those products’ settings.

3. What measurement sends

Consented analytics receives a generic page category, language, approved coarse campaign information, link placement/destination category, language-switch event and reading-duration bucket. A click toward the app is counted as a click, not proof of installation or purchase.

Our defined measurement payload excludes article titles/topics/slugs, search terms, complete URLs, query strings, fragments, raw referrers, contact details, form contents, and account/user IDs. Advertising storage, advertising user data, ad personalization, Google Signals, and automatic/enhanced measurement are disabled in this configuration.

Google receives technical connection information, including IP and browser information, when its services load. This means optional analytics should not be described as completely anonymous simply because our payload is limited or Google's service does not retain an individual IP address. See Google's privacy information.

Google user/event retention and aggregate reports: Google event-level and user-level retention are set to two months, with no reset on new activity. Aggregated reports have separate retention; we do not promise all reports disappear after two months. Deleting a browser cookie does not itself delete data already received by Google. International processing and your rights are explained in the Privacy Policy.

4. Making or changing your choice

Use Privacy choices in the website footer to accept analytics, reject it, or review the analytics setting. “Accept all” enables the analytics category; it does not enable advertising. You can refuse as easily as you accept. Closing a dialog does not give consent, and a failure to save a choice does not turn optional measurement on.

When you withdraw or consent expires, our controls stop optional collection and clear the relevant Google analytics cookies and campaign state. A page reload may be needed to remove already loaded measurement tags. We synchronize choice changes across open tabs where browser events permit; your preference applies to the browser/device where it is stored. Make a choice separately on another device or browser.

You can also block/delete cookies and site storage through browser settings. Clearing the preference may cause us to ask again on your next visit. Blocking necessary preference storage can prevent your choice persisting but does not authorize analytics. Withdrawing consent does not change processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

The current website does not implement a separate browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal handler. It does not sell or share information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Use Privacy choices or contact us to exercise your rights; any legally applicable signal requirement still takes priority.

5. Website requests and external services

The website host, content API and image hosts receive requests needed to display pages and resources. Search terms can appear in the search URL and are processed by the website and content API to return results. They are excluded from optional analytics, not from the search function itself. Infrastructure may retain request data according to the retention described in the Privacy Policy.

External links open another service, such as the App Store or an article source, under that service's policies. The current website has no third-party video/social iframe embeds, advertising pixels or newsletter form in the current website. If such features are introduced, this inventory and any required prior-consent control must be updated before they process data.

6. Updates

We update this notice and its effective date when the storage or purposes change. If a new optional purpose requires consent, we ask before enabling it. A policy update alone does not authorize new tracking. Contact privacy@heynubia.com for an accessible copy or questions about a stored value.
